Blue Shield of California PPO national coverage?

I’m starting a new job tomorrow, and while familiar with health insurance coverage and the selection process I’m encountering something I haven’t before. My company is based in San Fransisco, but I work permanently remote from Ohio. I’m being offered tons of options, but these Blue Shield of California PPO plans are particularly good.

It says there is national coverage through Blue Card, which is why I am eligible – but I’ve got no experience with such plans and national coverage for state specific options. Anyone have any experience with these type of plans?

Let me know if anyone needs more information, again this isn’t a cost or coverage discussion – I’m really just interested in experiences using this type of plan.

EDIT: We’ve confirmed our doctors are in network using the links provided in my benefits selection documents.
