Is MedAssist legit?

Hi everyone,

My mom does not have health insurance and she was recently hospitalized l. After discharge, the hospital referred her to MedAssist, which is apparently a 3rd party vendor that helps uninsured patients see if they qualify for Medicaid. I was filling out the form but at the very end, it said that signing the form indicates that you’re allowing MedAssist to be your power of attorney. I don’t know much about this stuff but it sounded iffy to me so I held off. Haven’t been able to find any info online and their number doesn’t allow you to speak to a representative. Anybody here every used MedAssist before.
