I just found out my health insurance plan does not cover maternity expenses, and I am pregnant. If I had known this two weeks prior, I would’ve enrolled in a different plan. However, I waived coverage, so I cannot make changes unless it’s a qualifying life event. It looks like I have few options:
A. Figure out the self-pay rate and cover all expenses out of pocket B. Try to enroll with an independent health insurance plan
I have no idea what to do. Any advice would be appreciated. I do not qualify for tax credits, Medicaid, or CHIP.
