For 2022 United Healthcare has been dropped from several major providers. Negotiations between United Healthcare and providers to continue coverage in 2022 was only partially successful. For example in the NY state area where both United Healthcare and Northwell Health are both widely used negotiations led to most of UHC plans continued to be accepted by Northwell Health with exceptions. You need to contact UHC AND Northwell Health to know if the healthcare plan you have with UHC is still accepted with Northwell Health. Both the UHC Community and Essential plans which have the most non group plan members for UHC in NYS are not accepted by Northwell Health starting 2022.. UHC did not send out notices to their members to inform them that most of their providers they use will no longer accept their UHC insurance after negotiations between UHC and Northwell Health failed to come to agreements.
