I am gettin completely taken advantage of by emergency medicine. A small cut on my left index finger could cost me as much as $700. There is no way I would have consented to the care I received had I known it would cost that much. However, there was no way I could have ever known! It is ridiculous to me that I am on the hook for this, and that it could get sent to collections and affect my credit score. There has to be a class action lawsuit against emergency medicine going on somewhere because this is just plain wrong. How can you charge people exorbitant amounts of money when they don’t even know how much it will be until after the care is complete? Why don’t we get prices up front??
