Can I change my healthcare provider after exhausting IVF options?

I work for a company that lets me choose my health care provider. Two of the providers cover IVF partially. The current provider offers one full cycle (lifetime maximum). The other provider offers a $25k lifetime maximum for IVF.

Is my assumption correct that I can switch my healthcare provider after exhausting my lifetime maximum as soon as the window opens (once a year) and go through the same IVF cycle with a different provider?

Ideally, we even have embryos frozen through the first IVF cycle and might be able to try multiple rounds with the second provider (given that frozen embryo implementation is cheaper than a full IVF round).

Is this legal/possible? Or is this considered a pre-existing condition and thus, not covered for the future healthcare provider?
