I had government insurance when I got a job, was waiting for union insurance which I was told I could get after 6 months. The other day I got health insurance cards in the mail, called the union and they said I have been enrolled in their insurance since august 30th which is 3 months since start date. I said why did you not notify me I was being enrolled,i didn’t even do paperwork. They said we automatically enroll you when your probation is over if you have government insurance. I paid $600 in medical expenses/ premium in September and now how the fuck do I advocate for getting that money back since I was never informed I had insurance that would cover MOST OF THAT
