In December 2019/January 2020, i went to a eye doctor and got a new pair of glasses. The problem was i couldn’t see out of the glasses. It made my vision seem fisheye like. The lady who gave me my glasses specifically said if i had problems to come back and i could pick a different pair. Then covid and quarantine happens.
Fast forward nearly a year later. I contact the eye center and tell them the glasses don’t work and tell them what the lady told me. They tell me i cannot get a different pair, only a replacement pair of the same kind. (My insurance only allows 1 new pair every 2 years).
I contact my insurance provider and explain my situation and they tell me the same thing, i can only get a replacement pair.
Then i contact the eyecare place (all contact has been through email). I ask them to send me a copy of my eyeglass prescription. No response. I have asked two more times throughout the past weeks, still no response.
What do i do? I am in dire need of new glasses. My current glasses are 5 years old and are riddled with scratches. I can feel my vision getting worse, it’s hard to watch tv and read things far away. It gives me headaches. I have to wait one year exactly to be eligble for new glasses.
