I recently switched health-care insurance due to a new job. I thought I had alerted my GP, however I must have been mistaken. Now my GP is asking for $280 for two 10 minute telehealth apts on 1/5 and 1/26 with a nurse practioner. I have heard you cannot file health insurance claims past 30 days. This would disqualify the apt. on 1/5. Is this true? What is the best pathway to try and get these appointments covered or the price reduced? 140$ seems ridiculous for a short telehealth apt. that wasn’t even with a doctor.
Thanks reddit!
