So currently my son is under medicaid and can’t be kicked off because of the health emergency, but he might get kicked out soon after it expires as we make too much money.
Currently we sit at about $40k, but after bonuses I’m afraid I might go slightly over the income limit for chip, which is about 44K. Currently my wife and I are insured through my employer, and thankfully we get a good price for a High Deductible plan for about $244/mo. but if we have to add my child then it’d get really expensive and we’d probably need a better plan.
I’d just like to know, is income alone the only thing that matters when it comes to qualifying for chip, or are there other factors like health insurance premiums that are also accounted for?
