After getting sent around to probably 10 different insurance companies and getting spammed called every 5 mins for 2 weeks I finally found how to get insurance. I am applying for health insurance through GetCoveredNJ. I made my application, got accepted, picked a $360 a month insurance plan from Blue Cross Blue Shield and paid for the first month yesterday. The money came out of my account and it still says “Awaiting payment confirmation from carrier.” I didn’t even get an email from Blue Cross Blue Shield or GetCoveredNJ that they got a payment or anything. Is this normal? They are letting me pay again as if they never got anything. This is the worst.
Edit: When I paid it said I should wait 3 days for my application to be reviewed and accepted, so they take my money and I haven’t been accepted yet? Huh? Will they refund me if I am denied?
