HDHP Deductible Prescription (Rx) ExpressScripts Question

I have an HDHP plan ($ 3,000 deductible) through my employer that covers my son and myself. Last week I checked where I was with my deductible and our doctor visits have been billed to my insurance and credited toward my deductible, but only $100 of $1800 worth of Rx costs have been reported. I’ve paid for these Rx costs with my HSA account funds and do not need to be reimbursed.

My Rx coverage is through ExpressScripts and they seem to be withholding this information from my insurance company. ExpressScripts is demanding that I fill any recurring Rx through them and I’m not interested in that. Going forward should I have ExpressScripts removed as the Rx plan at my pharmacy and tell the pharmacist to bill my insurance company directly to get these costs credited toward my deductible? ExpressScripts knows about these recurring Rx costs but won’t report the costs to my insurance company because I’m not using them as a vendor. They report three and that’s it unless you use their service. Their agents have told me that is the penalty for not using them to fill recurring Rx.

My insurance company only has Rx reimbursement forms and I don’t need to be reimbursed as I used my HSA card to pay at the Pharmacy. Also I don’t want to fill out 30 forms. Anyone else run into this?
