I’m hoping someone can give me some advice. I’m really not sure where to go from here. My mother-in-law is 61 and recently moved in with us. We live in FL, so no expanded Medicaid.
My mother in law was a stay at home mom her entire life. She currently stays at my house and watches my infant daughter so I don’t have to pay for child care.
We can’t add her to our insurance because she’s not a child. We checked the healthcare market place but doesn’t qualify for a subsidy because she doesn’t make enough money($0). She doesn’t qualify for Medicaid in FL because she doesn’t have a child under 18. She is too young for Medicare.
So I really don’t know what to do to get reasonable insurance for her since I’ll be paying for it.
