Moving and overwhelmed.

Help! I’m moving from New York to California in two weeks. I’m currently on medicaid managed care here, and it’s been fantastic. I have some chronic health conditions as well as mental health conditions so I have to see specialists fairly regularly. Currently, I pay maybe $500 per year and that’s mainly just to my RD who is out of network. I have a job set up once I move that is doubling my income, but will push me into a different healthcare tier. It doesn’t include healthcare. So far, it looks like my options are to pay around $350/month plus a $4-6k deductible for minimal coverage that will cost me about $70/week in copays, or pay up to $900/month for a plan with no deductible but that will still cost me at least $40/week in copays. I don’t know what to do. I know it’s not a good idea to quit therapy and stop seeing my RD because of insurance costs, but I honestly don’t know how I can afford the move and healthcare. The cost of living is already higher there (I’m in upstate NY right now), so the doubled income is still not incredibly high for the area. It just brought me out of the poverty range. Does anyone have any advice on where to look/who to talk to? I grew up in CA, but the last time I lived there I was still on my parents’ insurance so I didn’t have to deal with this.
