Need advice: Doctor’s office is charging me in full, but EOB from insurance says I should only owe part of my bill. Being a middle man between them is getting me nowhere.

I live in Georgia and get health insurance through my job, a plan called Allied Health Benefits.

This has happened twice now for two appointments from months ago. At the time, the receptionist at the doctor’s office said they would take my insurance, and I get an EOB from my insurance stating the amount that is supposedly covered. However, I then have twice now received a bill for the full amount. When I talk to the billing department, they say they don’t take my insurance. When I talk to the insurance company, they claim they have sent a check.

I’m tired of being stuck in the middle. Does anyone know how to resolve this, or at least make it not my problem anymore?
