Hi all. It’s that time of year again. The time where I read my employers guide to confusing choices. Anyone care to help? I have very good options for benefits and am fortunate. But, still want to limit my liability. Single and in fairly decent shape. But may need non-surgical stuff for my back.
The skinny:
PPO: -OOPM $6k
-Deductible $1k
-Coinsurance 80/20
-Medications covered @ $10, $25
-Urgent Care/ER is a small copay then Deductible AND Coinsurance
-Physician visit copay then 100%
-Monthly premium $85
-Option for flex spending acct
.
HDHP: -OOPM $3k
-Deductible $1.5k
-Coinsurance 90/10
-Medications: Deductible then copay
-Urgent Care/ER Deductible THEN Coinsurance
-Physician visit: Deductible THEN copay
-Monthly premium: $72
-Includes HSA with employer giving $1k
I have always done the PPO, but they jacked up the OOPM this year.
Sorry to ask, I am just terrible with this crap.
