So here are the details: I was diagnosed with diverticulosis and this is my 3rd night staying with Kaiser. I assume I will be here for an additional night making it a total of 4. I am located in Southern California. My concern is my insurance says 20% coinsurance and my max out of pocket is $3,800. How can I be certain that the max I pay is $3,800? I had a couple of specialized doctors visit at the start of 2021 but they didnt go towards my “max out of pocket”. Does this mean somethings dont apply to that max out of pocket amount? Am I responsible for 20% of the entire bill even if its more than $3,800?
Any info is appreciated.
