Hi, recently due to family matters I have become independent at the age of 18 and I have questions about Medi-Cal. So from my understanding, it’s free health insurance for people who can not afford health insurance. And I applied and got accepted but I have questions about opening a retirement account. so the rule for Medi-cal is that I cant have more than $2000 in assets, not including some things like cars and a house. Can I open a ROTH IRA or any other retirement account. I have been searching the internet but there is nothing about it. Thank you for your time and stay safe!
