My son has had state Medicaid since he was born as well as when I with pregnant with him. We are doing our 2021 taxes next month and just realized our income for our 2021 was at $70,000. The limit for kids under 18 for a family of 3 is 65,000. We are having another baby any day now and with a family of 4, the limit will $79k.
We are hoping by not doing our taxes until baby 2 is born and then the limit should be at 79, that will work out when we update the Medicaid. Will the 2021 income screw us up?
My son has high possibilities of expensive healthcare costs but doesn’t qualify for disability or any special programs so state health ins. is super crucial!
My husband and I have Obamacare and our deductible is $17k so I really don’t want our kids to be on our plan 😳
