I have sleep apnea and need jaw surgery. I will be living in Texas where the surgeon I want to preform my surgery is based. I have an online remote teaching job that doesn’t provide health insurance. I want to purchase an individual PPO plan preferably BCBS, however I was unable to find any when checking the website. Are there still individual PPO plans available in Texas or does it have to be purchased through an employer? If this is the case what other options do I have? I really need this surgery and I don’t have 50k to spend out of pocket. One patient I spoke to who has the same surgery with the same surgeon and only paid $2,600 for this operation so I’m hoping I can pay something similar. Thank you!
